Shooter's Support Group

The Shooters Support group has a meeting at 7PM, every other Thursday (in the off pay weeks - if you’re getting a paycheck that week there is no meeting) at the FOP.

The Shooters Support Group is a fellowship of Police Officers that gather to support each other with the decision to use deadly force.  There are no dues or fees for membership.  We are not affiliated to any police department or treatment facility.  The meeting is completely confidential and is used to discuss the thought process surrounding a critical incident and resources available to the officer.

This meeting is run by Cops for Cops.  Officers who are involved in facilitating this group have been trained  by the Critical Incident Stress Foundation and the LEPSN.  The CISF is the nationwide leader in  developing training for Police and other first responders.

Many officers have come to the Shooter's Group with questions about the 6th Commandment, "Thou Shalt Not Kill."  The original Hebrew translation is, "Thou Shalt not do no MURDER."  Learn about this and more by clicking on the below links!
